Chloe Shiras

Program Manager for Initial Resettlement at HIAS

Chloe Shiras is the Program Manager for Initial Resettlement at HIAS. In her role she manages the training, technical assistance, and monitoring activities for HIAS' network of 24 local resettlement partners (affiliates) who carry out the Reception and Placement program mandated by the U.S. Department of State. Chloe's portfolio also includes HIAS' community sponsorship program. In this role she facilitates implementation of community and co-sponsor programs within the HIAS affiliate network, bringing together resettlement staff and volunteers to welcome refugees to their communities. Before joining HIAS, Chloe received her Master’s degree in Public Policy (MPP) at the Goldman School of Public Policy at UC Berkeley where she studied immigration policy. Prior to graduate school Chloe served as a case manager for refugees arriving to the Washington, D.C. area.
